Exclude Public Holidays (Optional)

Add dates for statutory or bank holidays within your date range. Weekend holidays are never double-counted.

How to Use the Business Days Calculator

Enter the required values in the fields above and click Calculate. All calculations are executed directly inside your web browser using proven mathematical formulas, ensuring instantaneous results and 100% privacy without transmitting your numbers to remote servers.

Mathematical Formula

Business Days = Total Calendar Days - Weekend Days - Non-Weekend Public Holidays. When adding business days, each calendar day is stepped sequentially, skipping weekend days and defined holidays until the target count is satisfied.

Worked Example

Between Monday, Nov 2, 2026 and Monday, Nov 30, 2026 (excluding end date): 28 calendar days contain 8 weekend days (4 Saturdays, 4 Sundays). 28 - 8 = 20 business days.

Frequently Asked Questions

By standard convention, date interval calculations do not count the end date (treating it as an open boundary: Start ≤ Date < End). Check 'Include End Date' if your deadline includes work done on the final day.
